The 2019 report on the Oral Health and Psychosocial Needs of Scottish Prisoners and Young Offenders has now been published.

The report is the third in a series assessing the oral and dental health of prisoners published since 2002. It is also the first published since the transfer of dental services to the Public Dental Services of NHS Boards in 2011 and the introduction on the Mouth Matters Oral Health Improvement Programme in 2014.

This report was lead by a National Team based at Dundee Dental School supported by Prison Staff and Local Health Board survey teams.

The 2019 report is available in two formats

The earlier reports are also available for download
